NH SANDOWN — The Sandown Conservation Commission tabled its proposed wetland ordinance amendment to 2027, deciding to prioritize public education on proposed setback requirements. Vice-Chair Timothy Robinson noted that the proposed setback requirements would significantly alter the scope of development projects in town and stressed the importance of educating residents before moving forward. The commission increased its education and awareness budget to $3,000 for workshops.
The board also unanimously approved payment of $140 from the education and awareness line for four signposts for conservation properties. Trail maintenance efforts continue, with plans to remove a fallen tree from the Fremont Road Town Forest in November.
