Conservation panel approves wetland development permit

Conservation Commission · Meeting of January 8, 2026

NH SANDOWN — Sandown Conservation Commission approves Griffin Hill Road wetland development with conditions. The commission voted 5 to 2 to approve a Conditional Use Permit for the property at Tax Map 7, Lot 5-2, allowing a shared driveway that will impact 2,565 square feet of wetland to serve two residential building lots. The approval required three conditions: on-site inspection by a conservation commission member, double-row erosion controls due to steep slope conditions, and erosion control expansion to receiving and building envelope areas.

Chair Brian Butler emphasized the need for inspection to ensure compliance with endangered species protection guidance provided by Fish and Game.
