Planning Board conducts site walk for Sanctuary Estates 32-cabin proposal

NH SANDOWN — Sandown Planning Board walks the site of a proposed 32-cabin camping resort. Vice Chair Ernie Brown led the July 7 site walk on 412 Main Street to continue review of Sanctuary Estates, LLC applications for 32 recreational camping cabins, a 320-foot driveway, and 40 parking spaces. Applicant surveyor William Hall of Civil Design Consultants presented site details and utility plans, while applicant attorney Emily Goering noted completed noise and lighting studies and engagement of a landscape architect for mitigation.

Residents expressed concerns about lighting impacts on adjacent properties and preservation of mature trees.
