Recreation Commission hires 21 summer staff with wage increases

NH SANDOWN — Sandown Recreation Commission approves 21 summer staff with hourly wage increases. Recreation Director Becky Francis reported that the commission approved eight new counselors at $14.00 per hour and one MESH counselor at $22.00 per hour, bringing the total staffing slate to 21 positions. Returning counselors will receive a $0.50 hourly increase.
The 21-position slate includes 15 roles counting toward camper ratios, with additional coordinators, assistant coordinators, and MESH staff. CPR and staff training are scheduled for June 18 and 19, with camp beginning the following week.
