Sandown loss management committee flags facility safety gaps

Joint Loss Management Committee · Meeting of June 10, 2026

NH SANDOWN — Sandown loss management committee flags multiple facility safety deficiencies. The Joint Loss Management Committee completed comprehensive inspections of the Highway Garage and Transfer Station on June 10, documenting deficiencies including missing Material Safety Data Sheets, absent smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, improperly secured wiring, unsecured gas cylinders, and roof snow concerns at the garage. At the Transfer Station, electrical panels lack required clearance and are blocked by stored items.

Fire Chief Michael Devine flagged roof concerns; findings will go to Public Works Director Richard O'Hanley for remediation. The committee meets next on September 9, 2026.
