ZONING BOARD BARS APPEALS IN 412 MAIN STREET DISPUTE

NH SANDOWN — Sandown Zoning Board bars two appeals on contested 412 Main Street development project. The board voted unanimously to reject Charles Pollano's appeal of Building Inspector Jason Chui's March 30, 2026, refusal to issue a zoning decision on camping cabins proposed by Sanctuary Estates, LLC, finding the inspector had not made a decision on the zoning ordinance itself. In a related 4-1 vote, the board rejected a second appeal by Pollano seeking relief from the Board of Selectmen's refusal to render zoning determinations on the same property, with Dan Hewett opposing.
The board also unanimously approved a variance application from Michael R. Rulfs and Lori E. Gangi to construct an addition and deck 24.2 feet from wetlands at 3 Main Street.
