Budget Committee opposes Selectmen stipend reduction

Budget Committee · Meeting of February 2, 2026

NH SANDOWN — Sandown Budget Committee recommends against Selectmen pay reduction. The five-member committee voted 5-1-1 on February 2 to oppose Special Warrant Article 17, which would cut Selectmen stipends from $4,000 to $2,500 per year, representing a 37.5 percent reduction. Committee Chairman Amanda Knight, Vice Chairman Leslie Kruithof, Elaine Aubin, Eric Olsen (Ex-Officio), and Catherine Batora voted against the article.

Only Matthew Loeblich voted to recommend it, explaining he supports higher Selectmen pay but opposed the amendment process.
