NH SANDOWN — Sandown Board of Selectmen authorizes salary raises up to five percent for town non-union employees. Selectman Ed Mencis' motion passed 4-1-0 over taxpayer objections that the board should not exceed the bottom-line budget. Police Chief Gordon and Fire Chief Devine spoke in support, with the fire chief noting plans to hire up to 10 additional per-diem emergency medical technicians.
The board also appointed Scott Bickford to the Senior Affairs Transportation Committee, Scott Barta to the Conservation Commission, and seven residents to the Joint Loss Management Committee for one-year and three-year terms.
