Selectmen approve fire equipment funding, accept highway safety grant

NH SANDOWN — Sandown selectmen approve fire turnout gear funding and highway safety grant. The Board of Selectmen unanimously approved up to $15,000 for new turnout gear for three firefighters from the Fire Equipment and Apparatus Capital Reserve Fund, and accepted a combined $12,849 Highway Safety Grant. The board also addressed ongoing Balsam Lane disputes, where residents Rocco Piccirrili and Hunter Morris have pursued legal remedies; board members urged Piccirrili to pursue a petition for conditional layout of right of way status.
The town has limited authority over private roads.
