Conservation board requests site re-inspection for Sanctuary Estates project

NH SANDOWN — Sandown Conservation Commission unanimously orders field re-inspection for 32-cabin Sanctuary Estates resort project. The board, chaired by Brian Butler with Vice-Chair Timothy Robinson, requested the Rockingham County Conservation District conduct the inspection at 412 Main Street, citing concerns about wetland impacts, stormwater management, and a proposed 32,000-gallon-per-day water demand. Three neighboring residents spoke during public comment, expressing concerns about groundwater contamination and septic-system impacts on their properties.
The board also unanimously approved $1,292 in Fishing Derby expenses for the May 2 event: $842 for 150 fish from Souhegan Valley Aquaculture, $400 for police detail, and $50 for portable toilet rental.
