Zoning Board Denies Rehearing Request on Pollano Variance

Zoning Board of Adjustment · Meeting of May 20, 2026

NH SANDOWN — Sandown Zoning Board denies Pollano's request to rehear his downtown variance application at 412 Main Street. The board voted 3-2 to deny Charles Pollano's request for a second rehearing regarding the variance application, which originally sought relief from the town's dwelling-unit definition in Article 2, Part A, Section 14A. Board members Mike Bergeron, David Ardolino, and Vice Chairman Joel Logiudice voted against the rehearing, stating the board had followed proper procedure and given both parties ample opportunity to speak.

Members Jeffrey Blake and Chairman Jason Chui voted for the rehearing, citing procedural ambiguities and concerns about whether abutters received adequate opportunity for rebuttal.
